I have read several articles and cannot figure out the spike in popularity but maybe they have just figured out what I knew all along: They sure don't make movies like they used to.

Myrna Loy
When I sign in, Google shows me the most researched topics and Myrna Loy is on the list.. She died in 1993 at the age of 88. Her last movie was in 1982. She was a wonderful actress, the perfect wife. 'The Best Years of Our Lives', 'Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House', 'Cheaper By the Dozen' (obviously the original, not the crappy Steve Martin remake) & many others. And she was a gorgeous that came with Hollywood in the 40's & 50's:
